Cultural Infrastructure for Competitiveness

The project seeks to strengthen the Centro Cultural Rosarito as a strategic asset for the municipality’s economic, tourism and cultural development through specialized equipment for its Municipal Historical Archive.

🎯 Objective

Position the Centro Cultural Rosarito as a catalyst for local economic development through cultural tourism, the development of creative talent and the strengthening of the municipality’s cultural infrastructure.

The project seeks to transform a facility that is currently underutilized in several areas into a strategic asset for Playas de Rosarito’s tourism competitiveness, expanding the cultural offerings available to residents and visitors traveling along the Tijuana–Ensenada tourism corridor.

📋 Description

Cultural Infrastructure for Competitiveness represents the equipment phase of the Centro Cultural Rosarito, a recently constructed facility located in an area with significant tourism activity.

The project focuses on modernizing the Municipal Historical Archive, whose documentary collection is exposed to saline humidity and corrosion due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean.

The Project Includes the Acquisition of:
  • A corrosion-resistant mobile archival shelving system, designed to preserve documentary collections in coastal environments.
  • A BookTek 5 V3 Kiosk A2 overhead book scanner, intended for the digitization and preservation of the municipality’s historical heritage.

This equipment will help protect, digitize and improve access to Playas de Rosarito’s historical archive while strengthening its value as a resource for local identity and cultural tourism.
