The project addresses the limited availability of official public beach access points in the southern area of Playas de Rosarito.
According to the project documentation, portions of the coastline are occupied by developments, private properties and facilities that make beach access difficult or unavailable for residents, visitors and surfers.
KM 42 is recognized as an important surfing destination. To initiate an Acuerdo de Destino process with SEMARNAT, the requested area must first be precisely identified and delineated through a topographic survey and technical site plan prepared in accordance with applicable regulations.
These studies represent the first step toward supporting a municipal application and promoting public-use coastal spaces connected to future tourism, sports and recreational initiatives.
The Project Includes:
- Prepare technical site plans for the areas of interest located at KM 42.
- Identify and delineate the Federal Maritime-Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT) and, where applicable, land reclaimed from the sea.
- Prepare technical documentation in accordance with NOM-146-SEMARNAT-2017.
