The project proposes the development of an Engineering and Traffic Study to determine the feasibility of access points along an approximately 4.185 km section of the Transpeninsular Highway, beginning at the PEMEX Interchange and extending to the final exit within the urban area of Playas de Rosarito.
The study will be developed in accordance with current federal and state regulations, including the applicable Highway Geometric Design Manual, the Manual on Traffic Control Signs and Devices for Streets and Highways issued by Mexico’s Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, as well as applicable state guidelines.
Alignment with Strategic Planning
The project aligns with Pillar 3 of the Baja California State Development Plan: Territorial Development and Sustainable Mobility and contributes to Objective 3.2, focused on improving roadway infrastructure and promoting safe and efficient mobility.
It also supports action lines related to roadway modernization, congestion reduction and stronger regional connectivity.
According to the project documentation, the initiative seeks to increase roadway capacity, reduce travel times and improve safety along a strategic corridor, while facilitating access for commercial, tourism and logistics activities
